The Village

2025

Commissioned to reimagine a modest early years playground, The Village draws inspiration from the African proverb, “It takes a village to raise a child.”

We envisioned a collection of distinct structures, each crafted with a unique purpose: a house for movement, a theatre, a greenhouse, a sandbox, and a climbing house—spaces designed to spark curiosity and play.

Set within King’s Cross Academy, the playground becomes more than a place to play; it is an immersive environment for learning, social connection, and imagination. Every path, nook, and structure invites exploration, turning everyday moments into opportunities for wonder, growth, and community.
