Grosvenor Street, Mayfair, London

2023

We were tasked with redesigning the interior for the London headquarters of a prominent global developer. The building was originally constructed in 1952, so our approach was deeply influenced by the existing building's rich history. We sought to create an interior that harmoniously blended contemporary aesthetics with the timeless charm of the 1950s era.

To achieve this vision, we incorporated large, striking dark walnut full-height cabinets strategically placed to delineate meeting areas. Glazed slots allow the space to maintain an open and inviting atmosphere. This design choice not only enhances functionality but also promotes a sense of spaciousness.

In addition, we introduced pivot doors that seamlessly slide into pockets, offering the flexibility to enclose or open up a lounge meeting room as needed. This dynamic feature caters to the evolving needs of modern office spaces.

To further enhance the cohesiveness of the interior, we opted for a continuous cork floor that provides a monolithic foundation, adding both visual appeal and comfort. Complementing these elements are carefully curated mid-century furniture pieces that harmonise with the overall aesthetic and finishes.

Our design for this office HQ interior pays homage to the building's 1950s heritage while embracing contemporary functionality, resulting in a space that exudes both elegance and adaptability.
